We retain the right to bring proceedings against you for breach of these Terms and Conditions, in your country of residence or any other appropriate country or jurisdiction.
Code of Ethics and Conduct
As an AATC member, you strive to be the best coaching professional you can. You shall fulfill the obligations of being an upstanding and honest member of the community. To your students, to your community, and to the tennis coaching community at large, you will try to be a role model. All AATC members are expected to maintain and observe a sound base of moral integrity and exemplify the highest ideals of our profession. It is understood that each and every coach member of the AATC accepts and agrees to follow the AATC Code of Ethics.
AATC requires absolute adherence to the following Code of Ethics
- Bring credit to the tennis profession, and shall exhibit professionalism in all of their words and actions.
- Be sportsmanlike and honest at all times, behave in a professional manner both on and off the court, and exemplify the highest standards of moral character.
- Honor all professional relationships with their colleagues, and shall treat their colleagues with great respect and dignity.
- Meet their financial responsibilities promptly and honor their contracts.
- Act in full accordance with the institutional, conference, and national governing body rules, and shall report any violation of governing body rules.
- Continue to enhance their professional goals by continuing educational pursuits, seminars, and conventions.
- Strive for excellence through professional development.
- Put the welfare of the athlete first while maintaining professional relationships with them and for all encourage the athlete to exhibit good sportsmanship.
- Respect each place you work, play, or visit.
- Address all concerns with the institutional, conference, and national governing body rules, as well as all concerns with colleagues or umpires, through the proper channels, and never through the media or rumor.
- Coach and abide by the rules of the game and always respect officials and their decisions.
- Be honest and forthright, and refrain from making negative or derogatory statements about another coach or institution.
- Not give or solicit coaching where an AATC Professional is employed, unless prior approval has been given.
- Treat all match umpires in a professional and respectable manner.
- Encourage healthy respect for your fellow coaches and AATC.
Full Disclosure
All Coaches in Australia must provide a current Working With Children Check, National Police Check, and First Aid Certification.
Members must also disclose the following;
- Pending criminal charges pending before the courts.
- Previous criminal convictions or findings of guilt for, or related to, violence, child abuse, serious sexual offenses, or offenses related to children.
- Previous disciplinary proceedings brought against the prospective member by anyone including an employer, sporting organization, or similar body involving child abuse, sexual misconduct or harassment, acts of violence, intimidation, or other forms of harassment.
- Any change in circumstances relating to the above points
The AATC and all it’s subsidiaries take these matters very serious
Refunds
Refunds of 100% if requested in writing 30 days before the comencement of the course. 50% if within 30 days less and administration and resources costs.
0% is refunded once course has commenced.
Course Enrolments / Memberships / Affiliations
It is understood that upon enrolment in a course and / or as a member that the student, trainee, qualified coach as has and agreed to all the terms and conditions of the AATC
New Graduates will become an automatic member upto and including 30 June of the upcoming financial year at which time invitations to renew memberships will result in a new certificate and membership pack along with all the other benefits of being a financial member of the AATC.
Insurance
All financial and fully qualified members, delivering programs within in Australia will be covered by our current 20 Million Public Liability and 5 Million Professional Indemnity Insurance if
- They have satisfied all the competencies in line with their qualifiecations
- Have adhered to all of AATC Code of Ethics and Standards
- Are current Financial Members
- Have supplied a current Working with Children Check
- Current National Police Check
- Current Level 2 First Aid Certificate
- And accepted all current Terms and Conditions (which may be subject to change)
Appeals / Reviews and Feedback
If you are not happy with the outcome of your application for RPL or Certification through any of our courses, the correct process is to
- Speak directly to your Presenter for direct feedback, which in most cases would have already been given
- If you are still not content with the outcome of your discussion with your Presenter, then, please Email your Presenter for further feedback (copying AATC HQ info@aatc.tennis) into the email

If you are still not content with the outcome, then you may appeal this decision further.This will involve and independent review of the decision in which AATC HQ, yourself and the Presenter will be present to discuss the original decision being reviewed. It is encouraged that the Trainee provide additional information and factual representation to address the areas provided in the initial feedback session received in writing.
- The Board of the AATC will have the final say on all Appeals and Reviews.
