History Of AATC
The AATC was formed to provide another option for students who want to attain the same highest standards in coach education at a fraction of the price.
Our presenters have over 25 years of on-court presenting experience and over 20 years of lecture experience.
From when you first enquire to when you first enroll in our courses, we will work together with you to assist you with job placement through many of our partners within your area and abroad. We won’t forget you when you receive your certificate. We will continue to work for you through resume assistance and job applications as well as hands-on experience.
You will be working with consummate Teaching Tennis Professionals who are also all volunteers in their field of work.

The AATC has established itself as the leaders in Coach Education, Coach Development, Coach Training and Support, Coach Mentoring in South East Asia. As an affiliated Educational Institution of ESTESS Athletic University, we pride ourselves in the level of commitment we give to our trainees and members alike. We currently have ties with several organisations in all of the countries we are based in.
The AATC has always been an inclusive educator of Coaches. The AATC together with their female coach members in India have created the Women Coaches of India.
The vision is to create a platform for knowledge sharing and advice seeking, providing opportunities for young women coaches in India through continuous and affordable education through grassroots programs and empowering them to become exemplar leaders in the sports community with equal pay and increased job opportunities across the globe.
Ethics Committee
The AATC Ethics Committee is currently made up of Paul Kleverlaan, Andrew Hill, and Rob Casey. Their role is to ensure our very high standards are maintained by all AATC Registered Coaches. The AATC has worked hard to develop a Code of Ethics, Mission, and Vision Statement along with Core Values that are to be upheld by all AATC Members.
The AATC is very proud to provide a high level of integrity along with the highest quality of Coach Education in line with the expectations of PTCA – Professional Tennis Coaches Association and the ESTESS Athletic University.

Coach Screening
- All AATC members agree to provide AATC HQ with the following as part of our screening process;
- Current Working With Children Check (Equivalent for Non-Australian Coaches)
- National Police Check (Equivalent for Non-Australian Coaches)
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Signed Safeguarding of Child and Young People Code of Conduct
VISION
The AATC – Australasian Academy of Tennis Coaches is committed to:

Failure to adhere to the AATC Code of Ethics, Mission and Vision Statements and Core Values will be followed up by the AATC Ethics Committee. The Committee will be made up of three board members who will each hear all evidence and will collectively make a decision in relation to the matter at hand.
A right of review will be looked at by the Board of AATC.
A final avenue of appeal can be sent to the Sport of Arbitration.

Ethics
As an AATC member, you strive to be the best coaching professional you can. You shall fulfill the obligations of being an upstanding and honest member of the community. To your students, to your community, and to the tennis coaching community at large, you will try to be a role model.
All AATC members are expected to maintain and observe a sound base of moral integrity and exemplify the highest ideals of our profession. It is understood that each and every coach member of the AATC accepts and agrees to follow the AATC Code of Ethics.
AATC requires absolute adherence to the following Code of Ethics
- Bring credit to the tennis profession, and shall exhibit professionalism in all of their words and actions.
- Be sportsmanlike and honest at all times, behave in a professional manner both on and off the court and exemplify the highest standards of moral character.
- Honor all professional relationships with their colleagues, and shall treat their colleagues with great respect and dignity.
- Meet their financial responsibilities promptly and honor their contracts.
- Act in full accordance with institutional, conference and national governing body rules, and shall report any violation of governing body rules.
- Continue to enhance their professional goals by continuing educational pursuits, seminars and conventions.
- Strive for excellence through professional development.
- Put the welfare of the athlete first while maintaining professional relationships with them and for all encourage the athlete to exhibit good sportsmanship.
- Respect each place you work, play or visit.
- Address all concerns with institutional, conference and national governing body rules,as well as all concerns with colleagues or umpires, through the proper channels, and never through the media or rumor.
- Coach and abide by the rules of the game and always respect officials and their decisions.
- Be honest and forthright, and refrain from making negative or derogatory statements about another coach or institution.
- Not give or solicit coaching where an AATC Professional is employed, unless prior approval has been given.
- Treat all match umpires in a professional and respectable manner.
- Encourage healthy respect for your fellow coaches and AATC.
